The Benefits of Eucalyptus Essential Oil

The Benefits of Eucalyptus Essential Oil

It’s time to continue our study of beneficial essential oils! Eucalyptus essential oil is one that many of my customers are already seeking when they come to me. Most people know that eucalyptus is used frequently to help with respiratory relief, but do you know why?

The scent of eucalyptus acts as a natural decongestant. It helps to ease symptoms of respiratory issues, such as coughs and colds, by loosening mucus and helping to clear airways. In addition to this, eucalyptus essential oil also has antimicrobial properties. It’s antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal, which promotes healing.

A surprising benefit to eucalyptus essential oil is that it is has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which lend to it being used as pain management. It can help ease muscle and joint pain when applied topically. Some studies suggest that it may have benefits for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, especially when used in a product like a magnesium cream.

Personally, my favorite benefit of eucalyptus is its stress relief capabilities. This invigorating scent can promote mental clarity, reduce stress and anxiety, and help alleviate fatigue.

You can find eucalyptus essential oil in many Gingerly Snapped products, particularly our Eucalyptus Peppermint collection of soap, body butter, magnesium cream, bath salts, sagar scrub, shower steamers, and MORE!
