One of the wonderful thing about exploring the soap world is the different recipes you encounter. Some people prefer recipes rich in shea butter while others may choose one with a lard base. Some people find a salt soap meets their needs while others choose a loofah soap for extra exfoliation. I offer a variety in my shop, but the most common you will see at Gingerly Snapped is a blend of olive oil, coconut oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil. Of all the hundreds of recipes out there, why did I choose these oils?
🧼 Olive oil is naturally cleansing while also moisturizing to the skin. It heals and renews the skin, helping to create a more youthful appearance.
🧼 Coconut oil is similar in its healing properties, and it also reduces inflammation and acts as an anti-bacterial. This oil is also very well known for its ability to add moisture to the skin.
🧼 Canola oil strengthens skin tissues and smooths it while also creating a protective barrier that prevents moisture from escaping.
🧼 Sunflower oil moisturizes and protects skin like the other oils, while also unclogging pores and soothing skin. This helps brighten and smooth skins texture.
