One tiny ingredient has changed several of Gingerly Snapped’s products. Not too long ago, I began working jojoba oil into some of my recipes after doing mountains of research on it. Jojoba oil benefits the skin and hair with its moisturizing, healing, and protecting properties.
The number one factor that drew me to jojoba oil is that it mimics sebum - the body’s natural oil that it produces to moisturize skin and hair. This allows the skin to absorb it better for deeper and longer lasting hydration.
Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory properties due to its natural analgesic effects, allowing it to soothe irritation due to psoriasis and eczema. It also promotes collagen production, which aides in skin healing and improving hair texture.
The most surprising aspect of jojoba oil is that it is non-comedogenic, meaning it less likely to clog pores and can actually help control acne. Especially when considering in combination with its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties! Jojoba oil also contains vitamin E, which protects the skin from free radical damage and slows down signs of aging.
