Have you gone “no poo”?

Have you gone “no poo”?

Did you know that using shampoo bars rather than the traditional bottled shampoo and conditioner is not only better for the environment, since it keeps unnecessary plastic out of landfills, but is also better for your hair and overall health?

If you've heard of the "no poo" or "low poo" movement, you may have learned how traditional products use parabens, sulfates, and other chemicals that strip your natural oil and will eventually dry out and damage your hair. Your scalp tries to compensate by producing more oils to replenish the moisture.

Once you switch to a "no poo" method, or "low poo" in the case of my shea butter enriched shampoo bars, your hair may take a few weeks to readjust to its natural, default state. During this time of renewal, you will likely battle oily hair. However, once your body is no longer being bombarded by the chemicals and has a chance to recalibrate, you'll be left with softer hair that stays cleaner longer.
